Straight, unpadded answers about what REPPED does and doesn't do, for parents deciding whether it's right for their teen.
What's the minimum age to use REPPED?
13. REPPED is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a younger child is using the Service, contact us and we'll act on it.
Does REPPED access my teen's camera?
Yes — camera access is required to play, since scoring is based on watching the exercise being performed. Pose detection runs entirely on-device; video is never uploaded to our servers for scoring. During a live match, video streams directly, peer-to-peer, to the opponent only.
Who could my teen be matched against?
Signed-in players are matched with other players in the live queue, which is open to anyone 13+ using the Service — REPPED doesn't currently offer an age-segmented matchmaking pool. Guest play is against REPBOT, our AI opponent, which involves no other person at all.
Can strangers message my teen?
There is no in-app chat or direct messaging system. Interaction during a match is limited to the live camera feed and the exercise itself; public profiles show stats, not a messaging inbox.
What can a parent control?
REPPED does not currently offer a separate parental-controls dashboard. The most effective controls are device-level: camera permissions (revoke at any time in your browser or OS settings), screen time tools built into iOS/Android/your browser, and simply talking through our Community Guidelines and Safety Information together before first use.
What content moderation exists?
Our Community Guidelines prohibit nudity, sexual content, harassment, and hate speech across camera feeds, usernames, and profiles. Reports are reviewed and violations can result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans. There is no pre-screening of live camera content before a match happens, since matches are real-time — reporting after the fact is the primary enforcement mechanism, same as any live video product.
Is there a cost, or in-app purchases my teen could make?
REPPED is free with no in-app purchases. Elo, ranks, and cosmetic rewards have no monetary value and cannot be bought. The Service is supported by advertising, never shown during the 30-second battle itself.
How do I delete my teen's account and data?
Email privacy@repped.fun with the account's username or email and we'll delete the account and associated personal data.
